Challenge
A 1985 crossing carrying 42,000 residents and the only vehicle route up Wutong Mountain: safer night driving and walking, glare held down, and a landmark on a sensitive reservoir.
Approach
“A Galaxy on the Water” — star points along the cables, wall washers on the arch, projectors at the deck edge, linear light under the walkway and a media screen closing the abutment.
